Educational. Empowering. Sustainable.

Our vision is to establish a society where all girls can access essential health and menstrual hygiene products. We encourage environmental sustainability and assure underprivileged girls’ empowerment, education, and well-being. Through groundbreaking technology of incinerators designed by our founder helps dispose sanitary waste, which can later be used in brick kilns. Ms. Shobhini has helped schools install pad vending machines in the premises so that all girls can access safe sanitary napkins.

Swasthina aims to fulfill a broader gap in sustainability and hygiene. We are raising menstrual awareness by dispensing free of cost menstrual pads through vending machines to underprivileged girls. By creating access, we are building hygienic behavioral practices among the young girls. We are also taking care that biohazardous waste generated out of these sanitary pads, to be disposed effectively through our net zero carbon incinerators. The specialized incinerator has been upgraded with a chimney pipe leading to another box with a carbon filter. It ensures zero toxic gas emissions by converting the toxins into ash. This ash can be used in fertilisers and brick kilns. Hence we have achieved a zero emission sustainable solution which can not only protect the health of our girls but also save the environment on a global scale.

Swasthina

our goals

Bridging the gap between empowerment and sustainability

Swasthina was pioneered in December 2022 by a visionary girl, Miss Shobhini Khanna. She is a purpose-driven individual who has become a leader in creating sustainable solutions for eliminating biohazardous waste.

A student of Delhi Public School, RK Puram, she is a visionary. She is highly motivated to make an impact. Her determination and strong resolve have changed the lives of many girls. She is on a mission to educate, and empower underprivileged girls about menstrual health and hygiene.

At Swasthina, we are committed to reducing unawareness about period hygiene. We are driven to curb the carbon footprint that results from improper disposal of sanitary products. These practices pollute the environment.

As a move towards sustainability, we have adopted a 360-degree approach to achieve net zero carbon emissions. We have installed incinerators in government schools across the country. They turn the disposed pads into ash, which can be used to make fertilisers and bricks. Multiple stakeholders have appreciated this no-waste initiative.

Zero pollution initiative

Our founder has designed pad-disposing incinerators to prevent poisonous gases like nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide from releasing into the air.

On a quest to educate and empower young girls.

Shobhini Khanna, 11th Class

12.3 billion sanitary napkins are produced annually, by 121 million women, which creates 113,000 tons of garbage. Education about menstruation and feminine hygiene practices will create sustainability in waste disposal. With a resilient spirit, we are extending our reach to different areas of the country. We have worked with schools and SOS villages in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. We are coming to Gujarat and Varanasi next.nWe aspire to make pad disposal an environment-friendly process. We aim to install incinerator units in every corner of the country so sanitary napkins can be disposed of safely.
